Production process

Raw material preparation
Raw materials selection: Common plant raw materials include soybeans, wheat, corn, etc. The raw materials need to be screened and cleaned to remove impurities. Raw material pretreatment steps: including soaking, grinding, etc. for subsequent processing.

Acid hydrolysis
Acid hydrolysis: The pretreated plant material is mixed with an acidic solution (such as hydrochloric acid) and heated to an appropriate temperature, usually between 90°C and 120°C. This process can destroy the structure of the protein and break it down into smaller peptide chains and amino acids. Reaction time: Depending on the specific production requirements, the reaction time is usually between 1 and 2 hours.

Neutralization
Acid neutralization: Use an alkaline solution (such as sodium hydroxide) to neutralize the acidity in the reaction mixture and adjust it to a neutral pH value to prevent the acid from affecting subsequent steps.

Filtration and separation
Filtration: Remove unreacted solid matter and impurities to obtain a liquid containing hydrolyzed protein. Separation: Use centrifugation, ultrafiltration and other technologies to separate the hydrolyzed protein liquid and other components

Dehydration and drying
Concentration: Concentrate the liquid containing hydrolyzed protein to reduce the water content. Drying: Use spray drying, freeze drying or other drying methods to convert the concentrate into powdered plant protein powder.

Quality Control
Protein content: To ensure compliance to standards, ascertain the protein content using the Kjeldahl or Dumas method. Analyze the amino acid profile of the hydrolyzed protein to make sure it complies with the requirements of the product. pH value: Check if the powder's pH matches within the designated range by measuring it. Moisture content: Measure the powder's moisture level to prevent mold growth and quality issues. Microbial testing: To guarantee product safety and cleanliness, detect mold, harmful bacteria, and other microorganisms. Sensory evaluation: Assessing the product's appearance and usability by looking at its color, odor, solubility, etc.
